October 2016 Message from the President

All recorded workshops from the 2016 Europe Chapter Meeting in St Andrews have been closed captioned - Thank you Ed Weber! - and are in our ICG Resource Library. 20 articles have been added to the Resource Library as a result of this meeting, representing a nearly 25% increase in the number of invaluable resource articles available for our members.

The Chapter’s Interactive  Business Model Panel discussion was such a hit with attendees, that it’s inspired some changes for the PGA Show. We’re developing four panel discussions including Using Shaft Profiling in Fitting, Flightscope Course Intro or Skills Course, Fitting versus Teaching, and Setting up a Viable Business.

PGA Show Task Force Members Frank Viola, Ray Tomascweski, Gerald Friz and I are working with Reed Expo and our ICG Sponsors in coordinating another successful Show - but we'll need lots of help! Gerald will again have a volunteer form on our member landing page for you to sign up to help us at the PGA Demo Day (tent set up and break down), Meeting Room, and Panel Room discussion area. ICG members will earn CPE points for attending the show, volunteering, and participating in the interactive panel discussions. We need your help to maintain or exceed the level of the last two Shows.

Future regional chapter meetings being planned are a GLC meeting at a golf resort/conference facility this summer outside of Cleveland, Ohio. The planned scope will be on the scale of the St Andrews meeting. The Asian Chapter of the ICG is planning its first meeting to be held late this winter/early spring. The Spain Chapter is planning another full schedule in Madrid this spring. The Europe Chapter will have their 2017 meeting in Stuttgart, Germany after the Evian Masters. Expect more interactive panels, sponsor presentations, club fitting workshop at a major European fitting studio (PXG Dealer) and an European Tour van workshop.

Vega and Oban Golf will be our last two webinars this calendar year.

The ICG Resource Library, Recorded Webinars, Regional Chapter meetings, our PGA Show presence, our certifications and COY awards continue to be the cornerstones of our professional development efforts.

We are the ICG,

Jacques Intriere
